Amy has dedicated her life to the cultivation of compassion. This pursuit has taken many forms: assisting with births in underserved communities in Bolivia, to teaching self-reliance to women living in the city dump of Tijuana; from crewing Greenpeace boats, placing herself between whalers’ nets and the innocent whales they target, to mentoring a generation of co-workers as a C-suite executive in several biotech start-ups; and from deep dives into ancient compassion practices under the tutelage of two of the Dalai Lama’s masterful translator-monks, to guiding exhausted captains of industry to return to long-neglected inner work. Amy has decades of experience in meditation and counseling. She has been witness to, and a survivor of, multiple traumatic events, allowing her to be authentically present with the challenges so many of us face in silence, shame, and bewilderment. Her abiding aspiration is to help others cultivate true flourishing, compassion, and joy.
