Gabriela is a movement artist, body psychotherapist, educator and activist. She has some specialties in alternative therapies and psycho-education. With a 25-year career in the field of performing art, she’s a teacher in the development of artistic skills, a body therapist. She is certified in the Contemplative Accompaniment in Death Program of the Nirakara © Institute-Madrid and accompanying older adults and people with chronic-degenerative and terminal diseases. She is educated on Valerie Mason-Jon’s Model of Compassionate Inquiry for Trauma (MBAR).
She is a founding member of the Centro Ateneo Ítaca AC, an organization oriented to Human Development that offers academic training in health prevention, therapeutic services from the perspective of Traditional Indigenous Medicine, and the design and operation of socio-educational projects for vulnerable communities in Mexico.
