CCT© Teacher Directory
I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, but have lived in the US since 2001. In my day job I am an associate professor in interdisciplinary arts and sciences at the University of Washington, Tacoma, where I teach course in applied ethics and religious studies. I have a B.A. in English Literature, an M.A. in Religion in the Contemporary World, an M.A. in Philosophy (Bioethics), and a Ph.D. in Comparative Religion. I’m also a trained facilitator in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I research and write about the application of contemplative practices like CCT in contemporary contexts, but what makes my work most meaningful to me is being able to share these practices in community with others. In my spare time I love to get outdoors and enjoy the delights of the Pacific Northwest.
