CI Core Scales: Self-reporting before and after attending a CI course
Compassion Institute uses 12 core-scales to measure the effectiveness of compassion training, with participants answering the same questions before and after attending a Compassion Institute training course.
Out of 12 areas measured, 10 areas saw significant, positive changes in students after attending a Compassion Institute class. The greatest shifts seen in individuals after completing a course are:
⦿ Participants understanding the difference between empathy and compassion
⦿ Ability to be kind & caring toward oneself
