Compassion Institute warmly invites you to The Art of Compassion Practice. This course will be happening in-person at the Gyuto Foundation (6401 Bernhard Ave, Richmond, CA 94805).

Hosted in the serene setting of the Gyuto Foundation in Richmond, California, this two-day immersive experience will offer a rare opportunity to study compassion cultivation directly with Thupten Jinpa, Ph.D., principal author of Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT), and Erika Rosenberg, Ph.D., Founding Faculty of Compassion Institute and co-developer of CCT.

This weekend is designed to be far more than an introduction to compassion.

It is intended to be a catalyst for changemakers to form a community of practice. Alongside contemplative practitioners, community activists, social enterprise entrepreneurs, and people interested in social change, we invite you to take part in this convening among kindred spirits.

A Proven Program with Global Reach

A program for the general public, Compassion Cultivation Training© (CCT™) draws on insights and techniques from psychology, neuroscience, and contemplative practice.

The course integrates evidence-based meditation techniques, interactive discussions, and lectures as well as real-world exercises to put learning into practice. CCT™ is taught worldwide and offers practical skills, tools, and knowledge. As a graduate, you establish the habit of relating to yourself, others, and the world around you from a place of greater understanding, joy, and purpose.

Compassion Cultivation Training is an 8-week training course developed at Stanford University Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) by principal author and Compassion Institute Co-Founder Thupten Jinpa Ph.D with contributions from CI’s Founding Faculty.

The evidence is compelling. While compassion is an inherent quality we all possess as human beings, research from neuroscience, contemplative science, and psychology show that it is an orientation and skill that can be cultivated and strengthened to increase the well-being of individuals, communities and society.

The intensive agenda will be released closer to the date.
